Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
NOLIFECLUB ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our website, radio (including Curation and verified-artist uploads), forum, gallery, submissions system, Discord bot, slash commands, and related services (the "Services").
1. Eligibility
NOLIFECLUB is an 18+ community. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, including through the Discord bot. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
2. Information We Collect
Account and Authentication Data
When you sign in using Discord, Google, or other authorized OAuth providers, we collect:
- Name, email address, and profile image
- Discord user ID, username, avatar, and guild membership status (used for role synchronization and verification)
- Basic profile information provided by the OAuth provider
Profile and Custom Data
- Custom handle (username/slug for your public profile)
- Bio, title, signature, and faction choice (Aura or Chroma)
- Points, badges, and activity history
User-Generated Content and Activity
- Art and music submissions (including file uploads stored via RustFS, titles, descriptions, tags, and external links)
- Radio releases: audio files (including replacement MP3s), album art, titles, album names, bound artist credits, preferred Source URL / social link, AzuraCast/NLCR paths and file IDs, Curation votes, and playlist assignments (such as NLC Artists and Open Submissions)
- Forum posts, replies, comments, reactions, and profile wall comments
- Article comments and other community contributions
- Votes on submissions (upvote/downvote), radio song requests, and associated metadata
- Leaderboard and points data derived from approved submissions and activity
Technical and Usage Data
- Session information managed by Better Auth (cookies, tokens)
- Basic usage analytics necessary for the Services (e.g., now-playing, request history when linked to your account)
- IP addresses and logs as required for security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance (we don't obsessively track you)
Discord Bot, Slash Commands, and Guild Data
If you use the NOLIFECLUB Radio Discord application, invite it to a server, or run slash commands, we (and the Bot running on our infrastructure) may process:
- Discord user ID, username, display name, and avatar of the person who ran a command
- Discord guild ID, guild name, and the text or voice channel ID where a command was used
- Home voice channel ID chosen via
/setup(stored by the Bot so it can join that channel and play NOLIFECLUB Radio) - Command name, options, and timestamps (for example
/profile,/settings,/join) - Profile edits submitted from Discord (
/settings): handle, title, faction, and display role — written to your linked site account - Public profile fields we already store, rendered back into Discord embeds (name, bio, points, awards, gallery pieces, showcase art)
- Activity totals posted by the Bot or inbound webhooks for linked members: Discord message counts and voice minutes used for club stats
- Votes and reactions originating in Discord on gallery submissions and other site content
We do not use the Bot as a general chat logger. We do not sell Discord data. Home-channel settings live with the Bot for that guild; kicking the Bot stops new collection from that server. Site accounts and public User Content remain until you ask us to delete them or we remove them under the Terms.
Anyone in a channel can see slash-command replies. If you look up a member or edit your profile from Discord, that output may be public in that server — including servers we do not operate.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services (radio, Curation, verified-artist directories, gallery, forum, articles, leaderboards, profiles, Discord integration, and the Bot)
- Store, process, tag, and broadcast radio audio and artwork on NOLIFECLUB Radio (AzuraCast / radio.nolifeclub.net), including now-playing metadata
- Display public content (your profile, submissions, posts, and comments are visible to other members and visitors unless explicitly private)
- Render public club data in Discord embeds when someone runs a slash command
- Apply profile changes you submit from Discord to your site account
- Remember each guild's home voice channel and play only NOLIFECLUB Radio there
- Calculate and display points, leaderboards, and awards (including Discord activity totals for linked members)
- Sync roles and permissions with our Discord server
- Moderate the community and enforce these policies and the Terms of Service
- Communicate with you about the Services (rarely, we mostly just broadcast)
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues
4. How We Share Your Information
We share information in the following ways:
- Publicly: Most User Content (profiles, gallery submissions, forum posts, comments) is visible to anyone visiting the site.
- Discord: We share necessary data (Discord ID, roles, votes, public profile fields, radio metadata, command replies) with Discord, the Bot, and any server that has installed it. Discord is a separate company with its own privacy policy. We do not control how other server owners or members screenshot or re-share Bot output.
- Radio backend: Audio, artwork, and tags are copied to our AzuraCast station (radio.nolifeclub.net) when a release is uploaded or qualifies. Public listeners hear metadata (title, artist, album, art) on the stream, site player, and Discord.
- Service Providers: Hosting (Vercel or equivalent), database (Postgres), object storage (RustFS on our VPS), radio software (AzuraCast), and authentication (Better Auth).
- Legal: We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger/acquisition.
- With Your Consent: We won't sell your data. Ever.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on our servers (Postgres database for structured data, RustFS for media files). Guild home-channel settings for the Bot are stored with the Bot's database. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, but no system is 100% secure. Sessions are handled by Better Auth.
Uploaded files live in RustFS (S3-compatible storage). Public URLs are served via our domain proxy.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- You can update most profile information (handle, bio, etc.) via your account settings or, if your Discord is linked, via
/settings. - If you have radio releases, My Account → Releases lets you rename your bound artist credit (which updates all of your releases), edit titles/album art, replace an MP3, or delete a release. Deleting a release removes it from Curation/NLCR when we can; caches, airchecks, logs, and third-party recordings may persist.
- You can deactivate your account from My Account → Settings → Danger Zone. Deactivation hides you from the member directory and leaderboard and blocks posting, submitting, requesting, and reacting. We keep your data so you can sign in and reactivate.
- You can permanently delete your account from the same Danger Zone (type DELETE to confirm). That wipes your login, email, name, avatar, Discord/Google link, handle, bio, signature, banner, and location. Sessions are revoked. Forum posts and approved gallery pieces stay public as “Deleted member.” Media files already served, including radio/Curation audio on NLCR, may remain in storage until we purge them. This cannot be undone.
- You can revoke OAuth access through your Discord/Google account settings. Deleting the site account also drops our stored OAuth tokens for that user.
- Server owners can kick the Bot to stop new command and home-channel collection in that guild. That does not delete site accounts of members who also use nolifeclub.net.
- Opt out of certain features (e.g., faction roles) by not selecting them.
Self-serve deactivate and delete live on My Account. For leftover data questions after a delete, reach out via Discord or the contact methods on the site. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
7. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated policy.
9. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us through our Discord server or the methods listed on nolifeclub.net. We're a small crew – be patient.
This policy exists because we collect a fair bit of data to make the club work (profiles, submissions, Discord sync, slash commands, guild home channels, points, etc.). We try to be transparent about it. If something here freaks you out, don't use the site or invite the bot.
